ASSIX Commence Re-Roofing Project at The Hadfield Building

 

ASSIX have begun work on the University of Sheffield’s Hadfield Building to complete a 5 month re-roofing project.

ASSIX will be delivering this complex re-roofing project to remove and replace over 720m2 of roof coverings in a carefully phased process while the building remains operational.

The key work items include:

  • Design & Erection of Access Scaffold, Edge Protection, and Hoist.

  • Removal, relocation, and reinstallation of existing mechanical plant and equipment including associated electrical and BMS works.

  • Strip-out of existing roof coverings and insulations, preparation of substates and installation of new roof covering.

  • Replacement of roof access equipment including stairs and plant access gantries.

  • Replacement of edge protection and handrail.

  • Replacement of windows and doors to roof access.

  • Installation of new emergency lighting.
